Pregnancy Announcement + Gender Reveal

Sharing is caring!

SURPRISE!!!  I am going to have a baby!!!

Last night we had a gender reveal with loved ones and found out what we are expecting!

We cannot wait to meet our baby!!!

Every year I choose a word as my focus instead of a resolution.  This year after much thought, I chose a word I didn’t want to because it scared me…  It was TRUST.

Together my husband and I have two sons and we felt a longing in our hearts for another baby… but there was a lot of fear behind that decision if I’m honest.  That’s why when I was choosing my word, trust kept coming up.Husband and wife holding pink balloons after pregnancy announcement

My last pregnancy in 2015 was miserable.  I dealt with debilitating back pain the entire time which resulted in surgery when my youngest son was 12 weeks old and my older son was 3.5.  That surgery is why I have spent the last 3 years getting as healthy as I can, to ensure that if we did decide to have another baby that my body would be able to carry it and support it without feeling the way I did last time.

This spring we decided to step out in faith and TRUST that if God wanted another baby for our family, He would provide, or He would remove the desire in our hearts and we could move on.

Our journey to this baby was different with the boys.

There were more tears and questions and fear than ever.  I’ll share that side of the story soon, but today, I am so thankful to share that God HAS provided and in April 2019 we will welcome another baby into our family!

For 7 years I have been a Mama of boys, and in just a few months, we will have a daughter.

I haven’t ever pictured myself as a Mom to a little girl, but I assure you I’m up to the challenge!

The blessing of another baby is not lost on me.  My children are my greatest gift, and to be able to experience a little girl and see my boys (including my husband who is over the moon about a daughter) is something I cannot wait to see.

We trusted.

We are still trusting.

We can’t wait to meet our daughter.

Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior”

I am so thankful God knows exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.

His timing is always perfect.
